Southend Virtual Challenges

Description: Due to the current restrictions with sporting events and competitions we are pleased to say Southend West is running its very first virtual competitions for this half term. There are three different sports competitions to enter, each competition has rules for each of the three age categories (KS1, LKS2 & UKS2).

Schools can decide when to run their events within their schools and bubbles and then submit the results by completing a score sheet or submitting videos.

The three virtual sports are:

Sportshall Athletics

Gymnastics Key Steps (Key Step 1= KS1, Key Step 2= Years 3/4 , Key Step 3 = Year 5/6 )

Schools can decide how many events or how many age groups they wish to enter. The rules have been sent out to each of the schools and there are videos for guidance for each of the three sports. Please ensure you have read the rules clearly and submit the correct amount for each sport and age group.

The deadline for each of the sports:

Sportshall Athletics: 23rd October

Gymnastics Key Steps: 13th November

Cheerleading: 13th November

Once all the entries are in, we will select the winners who will then go through to the Essex Virtual School Games Finals competing against all the other schools in Essex. There will be medals for winning schools.
